The 11th Scientific Research Student Summary and Award Conference
On the morning of July 23, 2020, Hanoi University of Industry held the 11th Scientific Research Student Summary and Award Conference for the 2019–2020 academic year.
The conference was attended by the University’s Board of Directors, the Chairperson of the University Trade Union, the Secretary of the University Youth Union, leaders of various departments, supervising lecturers, and students who participated in scientific research projects during the 2019–2020 academic year.

The conference was organized to summarize and evaluate the achievements in student scientific research (SR) activities for the 2019–2020 academic year and to commend individuals and groups with outstanding accomplishments in SR.
At the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Minh Tan – Deputy Head of the Department of Science & Technology – presented a summary report on the implementation of student SR projects for the 2019–2020 academic year, including the quantity and quality of student research projects over the past 11 years, as well as the results of students winning top prizes in Ministry- and Sector-level SR competitions.
Associate Professor Dr. Vu Minh Tan presented a summary report on student scientific research activities.
In the 2019–2020 academic year, the program attracted a large number of students, with 212 out of 245 projects successfully defended. The Organizing Committee awarded 17 First Prizes, 38 Second Prizes, 45 Third Prizes, and 112 Consolation Prizes to the winning students. In addition, the Committee also presented awards to students and student groups who received the Ministry of Education and Training’s Scientific Research Student Awards.

On behalf of the award-winning students, Nguyen Thi Tra – Class K11, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – expressed her gratitude to the University’s leadership and to the lecturers for their support in providing students with a conducive learning and research environment. She also shared some of her experiences gained during the scientific research process.

On behalf of the University’s leadership, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Duc Quy – Rector of the University – delivered a congratulatory speech, commending the award-winning students and encouraging them to continue their efforts to achieve even better results at higher levels. The Rector emphasized that students are a very valuable resource, and student scientific research (SR) is both an important and challenging activity. This activity has been closely monitored and directed by the University, resulting in an increasing number of projects and continuously improving quality.

To further promote student scientific research and achieve better results, the University Rector requested that all departments, faculties, centers, staff, and lecturers effectively carry out their responsibilities and provide full support and favorable conditions for students to be creative and develop knowledge, science, and technology. In the coming period, the University leadership will continue to allocate necessary resources and increase investment in this activity, enabling students to participate in scientific research and produce highly applicable outcomes.
