Hung Vuong University organizes training and workshops to expand the HAH-VCN commercial chicken farming model certified with VietGAHP under the 2024 Central Agricultural Extension Project in Phu Tho Province
In accordance with the 2024 Central Agricultural Extension Project implementation plan, from September 24 to 27, 2024, Hung Vuong University, in collaboration with the Thanh Son District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the People’s Committee of Thanh Son Town, and the People’s Committees of Dich Qua, Vo Mieu, Van Mieu, Huong Can, Thang Son communes, and Thanh Son District in Phu Tho Province, organized two training workshops to expand the model: “VietGAHP-certified HAH-VCN commercial chicken farming techniques linked with product consumption partnerships.”
Participants in the workshops included lecturers from Hung Vuong University; representatives of the District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Farmers’ Association, People’s Committees of the communes, and local farmers undergoing training.

The training focused on transferring VietGAHP-certified HAH-VCN commercial chicken farming techniques to farmers in Thanh Son Town, Van Mieu Commune, Vo Mieu Commune, and Thanh Son District, Phu Tho Province.

Another training session targeted farmers in Dich Qua, Huong Can, and Thang Son communes, Thanh Son District, Phu Tho Province.
During the program, experts and scientists analyzed and emphasized that, in the current context of economic integration, farmers need to focus on producing livestock with standards, quality, and traceable origins to ensure stable pricing and market access. Raising poultry according to VietGAHP standards is one of the essential conditions for affirming the reputation and quality of products in the market. Moreover, the project guided farmers on how to establish connections among households, cooperatives, and businesses for a tight product supply chain, thereby developing sustainable centralized production areas.

Master’s degree holder Phan Thi Phuong Thanh, Project Manager, shared with the farmers about HAH-VCN chicken farming techniques under VietGAHP, highlighting the high economic efficiency of this method.


Scientists from Hung Vuong University shared with farmers techniques for poultry raising, veterinary procedures for HAH-VCN chickens, as well as the organization and management process of production and business collaboration between cooperatives and enterprises that purchase the products.
Through the workshops, farmers received theoretical knowledge, exchanged practical experiences, and participated in hands-on exercises during the classes. In addition, they visited and practiced at the project’s demonstration farming model in My Thuan Commune, Tan Son District, Phu Tho Province.

Through these training courses, lecturers and scientists from the University helped farmers gain comprehensive skills in VietGAHP-certified HAH-VCN chicken farming and product marketing linkages. Additionally, farmers had the opportunity to access and apply the latest scientific and technical advancements in production and business, generating high economic value and promoting the development of the livestock sector in Phu Tho Province.
